Sources

Primary sources only: Red Eléctrica for prices, the BOE for tolls (CNMC), charges (Ministry), taxes and the social discount, and the INE for the price index that triggers tax cuts. A blog, a comparison site or a retailer’s page is never a source. Each value sits in the parameter file with its rule and the date it was read (2026-10-15).

What we do not publish

A value we could not read in an official source is not published: Ceuta and Melilla were only added once we had read the IPSI rate in both cities’ tax bylaws. A day’s price that Red Eléctrica has not published is never shown as real: it appears as an estimated average, with a notice. We rank no retailers and take no money to mention anyone.

Checks

The engine is tested on every release with hand-worked cases and with every hour of the year, whose tolls and charges must match the BOE. Parameters are reviewed every 1 January and whenever a new rule on the tariff or its taxes is published.
